It's Saturday so there must be a wedding

A few weeks ago, when April was feeling like November. I bundled Bei Bei up, per her request, to go have a quick swing in the back yard. When I peeked out the window to check on her, I saw her peeking through the trees and fence to the restaurant across the street. Like every other Saturday, the joint was hosting a wedding.

The drummers were drumming their steady, rhythmic beat and Bei Bei was enraptured by the costumes and colors, the cannons and drum beats (The whole affair sounded more like a battle ritual than nuptial celebrations... maybe Pat Benatar was on to something with Love is a Battlefield!)

She watched the bride and groom arrive. And the lion dancers begin their serenade. She watched as confetti cannons launched a rainbow of ticker tape into the cloudy sky, but when the fireworks began she covered her ears and ran for the house.

I hope the weather gets better in May! Your garden looks really nice. Hope you have a great Spring.

Mark is going up in the middle of May and will start house hunting. Glad it's him and not me. PS> Do you think we should bring our old books. Would the expat community have any use for them?
Thanks, Nilufer
