I could get used to this. Tattoos for a week. Or a weekend. A little skin bling that doesn't last forever. I hate to describe them as "temporary tattoos," for it conjures the image of a badly peeling Atoman on the forearm of a pre-schooler.
I got inked Friday night @ a Mum's Dinner to honour our collective children's ECE teachers.
A creative and artsy mum picked them up in Hong Kong at the Chanel shop. And then generously shared them with anyone who wanted one or three. We took turns traipsing to the women's room and came back sporting the new look!
They are LES-TROMPE-L'OEIL-DE-CHANEL, temporary skin art:
Fifty-five exclusive, individual temporary tattoos, referencing iconic CHANEL symbols and codes, hand-drawn by Global Creative Director of Makeup, Peter Philips, for the Spring-Summer 2010 Fashion Show in Paris.(Sarah Jessica Parker sported them @ the Oscar's this year!)
I came home late Friday night. (Though not as late as others who went on to watch the first World Cup game live.)
Saturday morning, early, Bei Bei popped into our room. She had gone to bed early and exhausted after her one hour one-on-one swim class with Shu Shu James.
"Mom," she said with surprise, waking me from my grappa induced slumber.
"Did you get a tattoo?"
I nodded. Then queried what she thought.
"It's beautiful." She said with true admiration.
. . . We're gonna have to watch that one!
