"It feels like a massage!" she enthused, as she (lacking any sense of squeamishness) handled the slimy creature. She studied his characteristics and movements. She named him "Snailie". She cried when he eventually slipped from her gentle, grubby hands.
Don't worry. She still has a fish bowl full of evolving tadpoles. And five new slippery gold fish for the outdoor fish bowl. And her ant farm (presently on loan to her pre-school classroom.)
In the garden collecting snails,
