If there is anything we miss most in China it has to be the combination of blue skies and green grass that we so often take for granted at home.
One of the greatest gifts of our Christmas in Australia was the ability to flip off our flip-flops and run carefree through the grass in the Royal Botanic Garden, surrounded by incredibly tall leafy trees, loads of other flora—palms, bamboo, strange looking bright flowers, and lotus ponds; and fauna-- huge fruit bats suspended upside down in the branches above, the prehistoric looking birds native to Oz roaming the grass, and the ever-present gulls swooping over the harbor that traces the rim of the Royal Garden.
